With a number of building companies and private owners keen to begin building we have sold nearly half of stage one, with construction already underway on a few sites. Even with the limited rainfall, Hume Country Estate is taking advantage of the private water scheme.

Blocks range in price from $109,000 to $199,000 and land sizes vary accordingly from 413m2 to 1272m2. High quality fencing now secures the Estate, A private water scheme, which irrigates the parkland, is available to each allotment.

Stage 1 development is well on the way, with roads being completed closer to June than the originally expected mid May. The developers have been fortunate with the fine weather and are eager to have the roads in place soon. Signage has been erected on the corner of Burrows and Union Roads and as a result we have received a very good overall response.

Preliminary earthworks commenced by Gray Bruni Constructions with Stage 1 blocks expected to be available for sale early to mid May. Site features Estate security fencing and internal fencing. Landscaping to be both harmonious and uniform with the preservation of the majority of trees on the site. Covenants to be advised in the near future.

Survey work for Stage 1 is being completed by Doug Gow and Associates. The new Estate entrance is to be created on Union Road. Common park space will be a key feature of the development. The Estate will be 50/50 Housing/Open Space.

The former Hume Country Golf Club in Albury purchased by the Fendyk family for $10.1 million. Planning begins for 350 homes with 50% of the site allocated as open park space. AlburyCity to build $730,000, 4km pipeline connecting the new estate to its wastewater plant at Waterview.
